Climate and weather conditionsBucharest has a temperate climate with warm summers and relatively cold winters.In April, the average temperature is 17°C (Celsius) during the day and 5°C during the night, with relatively frequent rains. Banks and exchangeThe national currency in Romania is the leu (RON).We recommend that money be exchanged in bank branches. A valid passport is required for this operation. Most banks are open Monday to Friday between 09.30 and 17.00. On Saturday many bank branches are open only in the morning. The main international credit cards (VISA, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express, Diners) are widely accepted in most large retail outlets, petrol stations, hotels and restaurants. Please beware, however, that smaller businesses may not accept credit card payments and you are advised to check prior to purchase. ElectricityIn Romania electricity operates at 220 volts.Registration deskRegistration desk will be functioning during the Congress as follows:BadgesAll participants and exhibitors are kindly requested to wear their badges when attending any congress meeting or social event.Congress languageThe official languages of the congress are Romanian and English.Oral presentationsA technical secretariat will be functioning function in the vicinity of Ronda Hall, where assistance for the speakers will be provided.The available projection equipments are digitalic projector and slides projector. The materials may be presented on CD-rom/DVD, USB flash-pen or slides. Important: in fairness to all presenters, all the speakers are kindly requested to limit their presentation to the time allotted. ExhibitionAn exhibition presenting pharmaceutical products and medical apparatus will take place during the congress in the First Floor Hall and Intim Hall and will be open as follows:Certificate of attendanceAll regularly registered delegates can collect their certificate of attendance at the Registration Desk starting April 10th after 13.40 hours. To obtain the certificate of attendance, it is mandatory to go to this desk and hand in the congress badge.Continuous Medical Education hours will be awarded for participation in the Congress sessions, according to the rules in force in Romania. SecurityDelegates are reminded not to leave their personal belongings unattended.
